My Review

My grandson is 3 years old and I've been buying things for when he starts school and while I know that's a couple of years away, I also know it's never too early to start getting these things. So I decided to buy the Avengers backpack/lunchbox duo. I really liked that it came with a folder and everything fits together nicely. It has a sparkle to it that is in the fabric not added as glitter so it's not going to come off. I really like that the lunch box is a good size and fits with velcro right onto the backpack. The material this is made from looks and feels very sturdy so it's not going to fall apart the first week of school.

I really like how colorful and vibrant the colors and pictures are on the backpack, folder and lunchbox. I think my grandson will like this and I'm going to fill it with school supplies before I give it to my daughter as a surprise for both of them.

Favorite Video of the Week

I thought this week I would share one of my all time favorite live performances. I've loved Adam Lambert since he as on American Idol and I've been listening to his music since then. Which is strange for me since I usually listen to bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Slipknot and Atreyu. I do listen to all kinds of music but not usually pop type stuff. But damn this guy is like sex on a stick. lol I just love him and his performances.

Product Review: Dapple Dish Soap/ Dapple Laundry Soap

Dapple was nice enough to send me 2 samples. One sample of Dish soap and one sample of Laundry soap. I know that if you have a baby or if you have sensitive skin, you're always on the look out for baby friendly or sensitive skin friendly soap and detergents. Well these products are baby-safe and eco-friendly cleaning products, 

The first sample I used was the Dapple Dish Soap. 

The sample was enough for me to do a whole sink full of dishes and it was great on greasy glasses and plates. It works as well as the dish soap I usually use and it didn't dry out my hands. I made lot of suds and left behind no residue or sticky feeling. 

Then we used the sample of Dapple Laundry Soap. It got an entire load of towels clean, soft and fluffy.

My Review

When I was a kid I loved doctor play sets. I used to play doctor with my stuffed animals because I thought when I grew up I would be an animal doctor but I also played doctor with my brother and some of the kids in the neighborhood. When I was little, all the kids wanted to grow up to be doctors because there were doctor shows on the tv all the time. So I thought my grandson would love this. It has all the doctor equipment that he would need to make sure mom or dad isn't sick when they show him how this stuff works. Plus its nice for kids to have play sets of some of the same equipment they might see in a doctors office when they go for their own check up.

Review: Country Crock Margarine

I've been using Country Crock for years because I like the buttery taste and I like how it melts nicely into mashed potatoes and vegetables. I've used it for baking cookies, cakes and even making bread in my bread machine and it always works great. The thing I like most is that if I use it to saute vegetables, I don't have to worry about it burning like real butter does. I can use this on a medium high heat and I won't get that dark color or burnt butter flavor that happens when butter browns or burns. This works well for me which is why I've used it for years and I love the new package design.

I made a big bowl of mashed potatoes to go along with dinner and used Country Crock margarine in them and everyone loved them and dinner.

This was the Target Beauty Box that I got last month. It's was only $7 plus tax and this might be the best box yet. I was very happy with this box. 

There was 10 different things in the box and I've tried all of them. I think my favorite thing in this box is a toss up between the Vera Wang perfume sample because that smells so good and the lip repair. I go through a lot of chapsticks because I have dry lips and apply a lot of chapstick and this is nice and works great. 

All in all for just $7 this was a great box. I really enjoyed everything in this box and have no complaints at all. Plus it was just $7 which is an amazing price for everything I received.

My Review

I was pleasantly surprised by these Teriyaki flavored beef sticks because I don't normally like things that have a teriyaki flavor to them. But these don't have an over powering teriyaki flavor to them, it's very subtle and what I taste the most is the naturally smoked flavor. I really liked them and since they don't have a lot of fat in them, it's all beef when you bite into it. You don't get a mouthful of fatty, greasy meat when biting into these like with some other beef sticks. 

It's a nice size pack and would be great to take along on a hike or a picnic because you can throw the entire pack into a cooler and know that these are going to get eaten up while where ever you are going. My husband and I finished these off in 2 days. He really liked them and so did I. If you already like meat snack sticks then you'll probably like these as well. 

The only con I found was that these meat stick snacks are a little dry but I think that's because they are smoked and don't have a lot of fat added to them. If you'd like to purchase these, you can find them here.

My Review  

This night light is so cute and after charging it up, it's cordless! I can't tell you how happy I am about that. I've seen some really cute night lights but if you have small kids, you really don't want a cord dangling down where a child can get at it. Plus since I'm keeping this for myself, it's nice not to have to try and hide the cord around back of my desk. 

I love that it has so many different colors to choose from or I can choose to let it cycle through all of them. And if you press down on the pliable silicone you can fold it down into a cute mushroom shape. 

It comes with lithium metal batteries already installed and they are rechargeable. It comes with a USB cord that you just plug into the computer and recharge it that way. The light has a nice calming effect and would be great for a child's room or a bathroom, anywhere you want a soft light. I think this would even be nice on a bookshelf.

The push button on the bottom of the lamp makes it easy to rotate through the different modes and lights and to turn off. I'm very happy with this light.

My Review

This throw blanket is so soft, that's the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the storage bag. The blanket is a nice size and is great for lounging around on the couch on a cold night watching tv. This would also make for a great gift because it comes with a storage bag and is just the kind of blanket that I would like to get as a present. Good thing I bought this for myself because after seeing and feeling it, I don't want to give this one away.

I do recommend washing it after getting it because it does shed just a little when it's new. I was wearing a black shirt when I got mine and after taking it out of the bag and feeling it, I noticed a lot of white fuzz on my shirt but after washing the blanket, that fuzz stopped coming off and it was still just as soft as when I took it out of the bag the first time. And as you can see from the picture, Falcor really wanted this blanket. He must have thought it was for him because as I was taking this picture he grabbed it and tried running off with it. My Review

Finally a dog toy that my dog can't chew into pieces and destroy in minutes. I've had this dog toy for over a week now and my dog hasn't been able to chew it into pieces, break it or get any small pieces off of it. I've tried so many different toys for my dog and this is the first that has lasted more than an hour. It's so nice to be able to give him a toy that he can chew and chew and still have in one piece an hour later. I will say that this does look like an adult toy and several people have commented and laughed that it looks like something that should be hidden in a drawer.

When I posted this on fb, I had a few people say they wondered why I was posting a picture of an adult toy before they read my description. lol
