My Review
My husband loves garlic, garlic salt, garlic powder, minced garlic..pretty much anything garlic and he likes it. So I try to add a little to the dishes I make and I have made homemade garlic bread and garlic Texas toast. I've never had a garlic press, I usually just peel the cloves and mince them with a knife but this is so much easier and simpler. I've tried the smash method that I always see on the cooking shows but I never seem to get that right and it makes a mess for me. Using this is much easier, you just peel *or not* the garlic cloves, add one of two to the press and squeeze. The press does all the work for you.

The 2 in 1 feature lets you either use it as a garlic press or crack lobster/nuts. I haven't had lobster in years so it'll be working as my garlic press. I found the garlic press extremely easy to use and I didn't even have to apply mega amounts of pressure to get the garlic minced in the press and for me that was a big plus. It rinsed really easily after I used it and it's very sturdy and I think it will last a long time.

This garlic peeler is actually something that I've never seen or used before. But all you do is put one clove of garlic inside this silicone sleeve, place on a flat surface and roll back and forth with your hand. The clove of garlic comes out without the skin and just run the silicone sleeve under water to rinse off any garlic skin that sticks to the silicone. It's so easy.

  2. I had a metal one and I found that most of the garlic remained inside of the press (stuck in the holes). I just buy the minced garlic in jars and keep it in my fridge now. Much easier and the garlic never goes bad like the fresh.

    1. Some of the garlic stuck inside when I used it but I only use a little bit at a time and it does mince quite good.

  5. I usually just peel and then dice the garlic with a knife. We had a garlic press in the past, but it didn't really work too well, when it broke we never got a new one. I don't mind the garlic smell on my hands too much, although a good garlic press certainly can be a time saver. I've never seen a garlic peel like that before. Great review!

  8. I use garlic in EVERYTHING! I use to use a garlic press all the time but with my arthritis I just buy the precut stuff.

  9. Cleaning the peeler is easier if yuo don't peel first but you don't always get the most garlicky goodness out.
