Do You Have a Hobby?
Years ago I started going into Michael's and Joanne's craft stores and started picking crafts to do that seemed interesting. I tried wreath making, making jewelry, making dream catchers, and even tried making small sculptures out of clay *but we don't speak of that lol* This is a case full of some of my jewelry making supplies.
I also made some of the beading crafts that come with everything you need to make them and the instructions to make them. I made a couple of watches that I really liked.
I made Dream Catchers for a while and that was a lot of fun.
I also made Wreaths for a while and I would probably keep making them but when I would go to buy supplies it was getting expensive. Those fake flowers are costly. lol
The craft that I seem to keep coming back to is the jewelry making. I kept it simple and made a couple pairs of earrings while I was laid up with a broken toe and badly bruised leg.
Do you have any hobbies?

Oh my, you are so creative. I'm in awe of these beautiful pieces.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteI never tried something like that but it's nice done!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's fun trying new crafts.
DeleteReading obviously :D
ReplyDeletelol Obviously. I like that one too.
DeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteNice earrings. My hobbies: reading and writing and anything outdoors
ReplyDeleteThanks, those are great hobbies.
DeleteSure have the creative touch indeed at your feed. Writing and blogging for me, obviously lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, yes I would have guessed that about you.
DeletePretty! Yeah, craft stores are like crack. I've done jewelry making, too. And scrapbooking, cross stitch, wreath making. Lettering is obviously my new crafty obsession. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks. Craft stores are so much fun though and yes just like crack. lol
DeleteWow! I really like those items a lot, Mary! Hugs...
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteNice earrings, Mary! I've done lots of hobbies over the years . . . Cross stitch, oil painting, pottery (and, lol, my pieces all went into the trash!) I guess I just read and bog now.
ReplyDelete**blog
DeleteI know the feeling. Most of the clay things I made I threw away too.
DeleteI would love to see some of those small sculptures Mary. I have tons of hobbies and all include crafting, I’m better at some crafts than others, but that doesn’t stop me trying. Ohhh I love that wreath, it’s my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteI love trying crafts but I don't stick with many of them. I have another post planned on the 23rd of this month and I'll make sure to add a picture of the mouse I made from sculpy clay. I think that's the only clay sculpture I have left, most of the others went in the trash. lol
DeleteThanks, I loved that wreath when it was done too.
I've had notable sprees like I got into cross stitching, beading, and now blogging. I don't know what my next one will be, I do want to learn knitting and quilting so maybe that's next?
ReplyDeleteI never learned knitting but I did crochet a baby blanket for my grandson. Last time I ever do that. lol
DeleteBlogging is the obvious
ReplyDeletevideo games is another
I've never been into the video games but my daughter is.
DeleteYou've got talent. Hmm, I use to tole paint, but my hobby is my blog..LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you. I had to Google what tole painting was. That looks fun.
DeleteThey are nice earrings.
ReplyDeleteMy hobbies are reading and walking.
My husband Eddie reckons that blogging is my hobby too! He could be right! LOL!
All the best Jan
Thank you. I didn't realize Eddie from your blog was your husband. I can be quite slow at times. lol
DeleteMy hobbies are food, creating and eating :) and then reading books!
ReplyDeleteThose are good hobbies.
DeleteMy favorite hobby is fringing the ottoman!
ReplyDeletelol I'm sure you look great doing it too.
DeleteGardening is a hobby, but I keep it pretty simple. I like crocheting and knitting and embroidery. I keep up with practicing my piano and playing stuff. I've done wreaths and flower arrangements, but ran into the expense of it, too. I haven't tried jewelry yet, but that was a big one with my gran when she was alive.
ReplyDeleteLove your dreamcatchers and fun to see your other hobbies, too.
I'll have another post of my hobbies next week because I'm not done. lol
DeleteI loved the flower arranging, I started in high school.
Lovely hobbies you have. Super fun too.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm learning how to forage.
They are fun unless you're trying to make a necklace with tiny seed beads. lol
DeleteAs far as craft hobbies go, I love scrap booking and lately making my babies book.
ReplyDeleteI do a little scrapbooking too and that's a lot of fun. Making the baby book was so much fun. I also made my daughter a School Days book. Where there were little pockets from each grade to put things like grades, letters from the teacher and awards. She loved getting it when she was grown.
DeleteI have way too many hobbies. My interest tends to last about as long as it takes me to buy all the supplies, then they start gathering dust. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Bambi Unbridled for #getsocial2017.
lol I've done that too. I have so many scrapbooking supplies I never use.
DeleteI love reading and quilling! Two hobbies are enough for me! #getsocial17
ReplyDeleteOh those are good hobbies.
