Book Review: Wickedest Witch by Eve Langlais

Book Description

Thank you for engaging the services of Wicked Incorporated, where the insults are given for free.

Evangeline is not a very nice witch, and she’s not afraid to show it. Her ruthless nature comes in handy as a problem solver until she lands a job where she’s forced to work with an uncouth shifter. He’s rude, cocky, totally unsuitable, not to mention part animal, but despite it all, she can’t help craving his touch.

Ryker is big, bad, and brash. When he’s partnered with a curvy witch, he does everything in his power to fight her allure. And fails. But he’s not too disappointed as he discovers wickedness has its uses, especially in the bedroom.

Vampires, a wedding from hell, and a cackling boss named Rumpelstiltskin make this an adventure packed, humorous paranormal romance sure to make you smile.

My Review

Ryker and Evangeline (Eva) get hired by Rumpelstiltskin to be body guards for his daughter at a wedding. Just so happens the wedding is for Evangeline's sister who is marrying the son of the Devil. Rumple says that he thinks his ex wife is going to try and kidnap his daughter and when that turns out not to be the case he has other things he thinks might happen but he's not sure which one of the scenarios is going to happen so Eva and Ryker have to investigate and be on the lookout for different things that might happen.

Eva is known as the wickedest witch and because of some of the things she's done, people are afraid of her but not Ryker. Her magic doesn't work on him because she's a shifter. The pull they both feel made it funny to watch them both try to work and not give in to their lust. It doesn't last long because he's sure that she's his mate and he wants her badly. But she's feeling that pull to be with him too. Ryker's mother wants him to find a nice shifter female to settle down with and carry on the family so she's not happy when she finds out he's sniffing after a witch. But Eva has no problem living up to her name and teaching his mother to keep her opinions to herself.

It was fun to finally see what Rumplestiltskin was worried about and what was really going on. I liked the ending and plan on reading the first book in this series now.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
