Favorite Picture of the Week

This picture was taken at 2PM one day this week. Some sun was trying to poke out between the cloud above and it made the clouds look blue for a moment, but there were so many dark clouds. Not a drop of rain though.

Just a few minutes later on the way home.

Same time just looking towards the North.

Later that night as the sun was getting ready to set, the wind picked up and was blowing around 40 mph for a while. Gusts were higher. The clouds were moving by fast.

The next day we still had clouds and some wind.

And then that night as the sun was setting there was just this one big cloud close to me, so I took a picture of it. Most of the clouds cleared out with the winds.

  1. Those dark clouds look ominous, they look like storm clouds so it's a surprise that it didn't rain.

  2. It is the same with my part of the country, it will get all dark like all hell is about to get lose and then not a drop drops upon us poor thirsty souls. We are turning into Nevada, we have not had rain in two months now.

  4. Forty mph is some serious wind. Around here, that would be accompanied by a thunderstorm and concern for tornadoes.

  5. Eerie black Skies one day and then fabulous blue the next! How are black Skies yesterday did bring us lots of rain. There's places that need it far worse than us right now.
