My Split Pea Soup Recipe
So I start my split pea soup with a frozen ham bone. If I make a large ham I will freeze the ham bone with enough ham on it for a pot of soup. If you want a vegetarian version you can omit this step. I fill my large pot with water and boil the ham bone for an hour.
Take the ham bone out, let cool and take all the meat off the bone. It should fall right off. I diced the ham and added it back to the pot of water.
Next, chop up 1 large onion and 4 large carrots.
Add enough water to the pot so that it is completely full and then add the vegetables and ham back into the pot. The water will evaporate as the pea soup cooks. Next take a bag of peas and place them in a colander and rinse them off and then add them to the pot of water.
After about an hour it will take on a green hue. I simmered mine for 4 hours. I kept adding water because the water kept evaporating and I wanted it thick but not so thick that I could stand a spoon up in.
After 4 hours of simmering, about half of the water had evaporated and it looked like this. My hubby loves when I make this and it's really easy.

Rats: What is Popcorning?
*Lucky*
If you've ever owned a guinea pig, you've no doubt heard the term popcorning and probably seen your guinea pig hopping, flipping and jumping all over their cage. But did you know that rats popcorn too?
What is Popcorning?
Just like a kernel of popcorn getting ready to pop, a rat or guinea pig will bounce, jump, twirl and flip and may even sprint in a full out run afterwards. When they do this they are undoubtedly happy and you can almost see the smiles on their little furry faces. When you see a rat popcorning they are letting the other rats in the cage know they are happy or in a mood to play.
In all the years I've had rats, I've had several rats that would popcorn. Brodie, who was my smallest rat would jump and run all over the cage. He would even jump on the backs on his brothers who were twice as big as he was and then run away really fast, stopping to look back to see if they were chasing him. More often than not, they would chase him down, flip him over and groom his stomach until he squeaked.
Ares would popcorn out of the blue, he would start jumping, twirling and bouncing and running from one spot in the cage to another. He reminded me of popcorn popping because he's bouncing all over the place, Boing Boing Boing from here to there and back again. It's very obvious to me he was happy because after he settled down again he will start Boggling and Bruxing which means his eyes start bulging out and he chatters and grinds his teeth. Rats do this when they are happy. Now Lucky and Flower popcorn like crazy too.
How Can I Get My Rat To Popcorn?
Not all rats will popcorn but I have found that while you have them out for play time you can sometimes get them to popcorn by finger wrestling with them. What you do is pick them up and turn them on their back and tickle their belly for just a few seconds. If they come back to play by grabbing your fingers where it looks like they are trying to wrestle with your hand, you know they like this type of play. When rats get excited and feel playful they will sometimes popcorn as they run around playing with you.
I was able to get Ares and Brodie to popcorn by lightly scratching or tickling their backs or hind ends as they walked by me. This would always get them running and bouncing around. Another way I was able to get my boys to start jumping around was to pet them backwards. Starting from their backs and running my hand from their back to their nose would almost always get them jumping around, but they would come back for more and jump around more when I did it again.
You will see that younger rats are more likely to exhibit this behavior than older rats, because as rats age, they calm down and just want to cuddle on the couch with you.

Mary's French Toast Recipe
So here is my extremely simple French Toast recipe. You will need, 3 eggs beaten. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice.
Beat all ingredients together. *as you can see, I don't add any milk to my eggs*
Dip bread into egg mixture, turn over and coat both sides.
When both sides are coated with egg, you want to place them into a hot frying pan with just a little oil.
Fry on both sides for about 3 minutes or until the inside of the bread is no longer soggy.
I don't use syrup but instead mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of sugar and sprinkle that on my french toast.
I sprinkle both sides with the sugar cinnamon mixture while it is still hot.
This recipe makes 4 pieces of French Toast.
How do you like your French Toast?

Test Results= Diabetes
Recently I found a doctor that would come out to my home and see me. They even have the lab come out to my home and collect blood for blood tests. I hadn't seen a doctor in 4 years because I have Agoraphobia and have a really hard time leaving my home. So when I started having symptoms of diabetes, I knew I needed to find a doctor to see and find out if I indeed had a problem.
A couple of weeks ago, my doctor came back out to see me and told me that I do indeed have type 2 diabetes. I kinda already knew that, or at least guessed I might.
So I've been told to cut out bread, rice, potatoes and sugar. I started off slowly and cut out all of the potatoes and rice and am now cutting my intake of sugar and bread in half. I switched to several different sugar substitutes or I should say I am trying out a few to see which one I like.
Thankfully I don't have to give myself shots. I just have to take a couple of pills each day. Metformin is a medicine that helps control diabetes so we are trying that out for now to see if that helps.
For those of you that know the numbers, my fasting blood glucose was 152 and my A1C was 8.2 and my doctor wants my fasting morning blood glucose to be under 120. So that's my goal right now.
I've had a blood glucose meter for about 15 years because I was diagnosed with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). The meter I had was 15 years old so the doc told me to get a new one. I looked online and found that CVS had one for $17.99 and the test strips are only $6.99 for 50 of them. That is a whole lot cheaper than what I used to pay for them. Last time I paid for test strips using a brand name meter and getting brand name test strips I paid $50 for 100 of them. My insurance wouldn't pay for them even thought my doc had written me a prescription for them because I didn't have diabetes. But the new ones I found are even cheaper than what my insurance would pay for since my co pay would be $6 for 50 of them and this way I don't have to worry about getting a prescription for them, I can just order them online.
So you might be seeing more vegetable type recipes as I try them out to replace the rice and potatoes that we used to have with dinner. I've been trying out a lot of new recipes. lol

Why Male Rats Should Not Be Given Orange Juice
*Scribbles*
In general you can feed your pet rats whatever you eat and while some might be picky eaters, most rats will eat just about anything. There are however a few human foods that male rats especially should never be given because they could cause cancer. Orange juice is one of these human foods that should never be given to male rats.
Why Is Orange Juice Harmful To Male Rats?
D-Limonene is found in the skin of oranges and when an orange is squeezed, the D-Limonene gets squeezed into the juice as well. Most orange juice companies use the entire orange to make their orange juice and then strain it, so the skin and the skin oil from the orange is in orange juice.
According to The Rat and Mouse Gazette, "It seems that d-limonene and some other chemicals bind to a naturally occurring protein (alpha2u-globulin) in the male rat's kidneys. The protein then builds up and causes cancer."
Can I Feed My Male Rats Fresh Oranges?
Yes, as long as you peel the orange first and rinse it under running water before giving it to your rats. The orange meat is not harmful for rats, just the skin or rind of the oranges.
Is D-Limonene Harmful To My Female Rats?
Female rats are safe because they do not have the protein in their kidneys that male rats have. Only male rats have the protein in their kidneys called alpha2u-globulin.
After finding out that orange skins might cause cancer in my rats, I started peeling and washing all the orange segments I gave to them.

Recipe: Eggplant Parmesan
A fellow blogger friend posted her recipe for Eggplant Parmesan on her blog a while back and I finally tried it out. You can find Anna's recipe on her blog- Herding Cats & Burning Soup.
I changed the recipe a little by not adding parmesan cheese or basil because I don't like either one of those things. But Ken and I loved this and I have another eggplant so I'll definitely be making it again soon.
I'm very happy to have found this recipe and have it come out so good because the first time *and last time* I made any type of eggplant, it came out so bad. I had no idea what the heck I was doing, obviously. I cut thick slices and baked it. Yeah, that didn't come out really well. It was spongy, gross and had no flavor. So I'm really glad to find out that this can actually taste yummy.

Early Review: Favored By Felix by Shelley Munro
Book Description
Middlemarch Capture, Book Two
A new resort specializing in capture fantasies—the perfect place for Captain Casey Seonaid to blow off steam. To embrace her feminine side, possibly for the last time. And just as she’d hoped, it’s not long before she finds herself “kidnapped”. Let the sexual hijinks begin.
Attractive yet with an air of sadness, Casey snares Felix Mitchell’s attention at first sight. As feelings deepen, he comes to realize Casey just may be his perfect mate. But despite their shared passion, something is amiss with his intriguing lover, something that keeps her from giving herself fully…something she won’t share.
Unexpected troubles plague the resort, drawing the couple ever closer. But the biggest danger comes when Casey finally shares her secret, revealing a familial enemy—and his shocking plans for Casey’s future.
Inside Scoop: Felix may look big and bad, but Casey knows her shifter mate is just a big pussycat.
My Review
Casey is hiding a secret, a secret that her own father is forcing her into. So she and her friend Eva decided to spend a little vacation time at the Middlemarch Resort. A resort known for making their guests fantasies come to life if that's what they wanted.
Felix and his brothers have come up with a plan to get mates. They will just kidnap them from the Middlemarch Resort and hold them captive until they acquiesce or fall in love with them and agree to stay.
I loved Casey's character and I really felt bad for her because of her family. They weren't close at all and even though she had done well in the military just like her two brother's had, her father wasn't proud of her at all. Which was quite apparent from the drastic measures he wanted her to take in order to be the perfect soldier in his eyes.
Felix was beyond yummy with his shoulder length black hair, green eyes and ability to shift into a large black cat. I love a man with long hair and green eyes. My own eyes are green so I'm a little partial to them. Felix doesn't waste time getting to know Casey after watching her on the beach for a couple of nights as she stood out there lost in her own thoughts. She looked sad and depressed about something and that made him want to make her smile.
So Felix did what any sexy alpha male would do, he made his way onto the beach the next time he saw her out there and within a few minutes of meeting her, he kissed her. Not that she seemed to mind since she kissed him right back.
Not only do we get a great romance story but there's also a mystery of who is sabotaging the fence and what is going on with Casey's father.
I read the first book in this series, Snared By Saber and I loved it. While this book can be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading both books since it will give you a better understanding of what went on with Casey as well as Eva. Not to mention both books are really great so I highly recommend reading them both.
I have to say that Casey's father is a grade A jerk! The more I learned about him the less I liked the man.
If you like shifters, big cats, crazy family members, sizzling sexy men and a little spanking thrown in for fun, then you'll love this book.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars
If you'd like to buy this book you can find it here. It releases on February 13th, 2015.

Review: Seeds Of Love
In this box there are ten cards- 2 of each card and five different flower seeds. Vremi's Seeds of Love contains a selection of colorful organic flower seeds: Delphinium, Zinnia Mix, Calendula, Celosia, Sunflower Mix.
With this you get to send someone something they probably haven't received before and if you have family or friends who love to garden then this is a great gift to send to someone.
I love the greetings on the seed packets. Not only is it a greeting card but a surprise pack of flower seeds inside. The Seeds Of Love packets are really cute too. Not only can you buy a box of these greeting card seed packets for yourself to send out but you can also buy a box of Seeds Of Love to give the entire box as a present to someone else so they can send out the greeting card packets.
Not only do these make a great surprise gift but the packets are a wonderful idea to add to Easter baskets this year. Kids can then plant the seeds and watch their own flowers grow in their yard or window planters.
If you'd like to buy this product you can find them on Amazon.

Review: SOS Pocket Chain Saw
When I saw this I knew I had to get it for Ken. He loves neat little gadgets like this and he's never had anything like this before. So as soon as it came and I opened it and hubby saw what it was. He asked, "Is that for me?" lol Yes, of course it's for him. It's not like I go outside and saw tree limbs a few times a month or anything. He's a retired apartment maintenance man and even though he has large tool boxes full of tools, he's always happy to get something new.
This pocket chain saw folds up and fits into a little pouch that comes with it. Great for storing and easy enough to take camping. The pouch has a belt loop on it so you can even hook it to your belt and have it on you while back packing, hiking or camping. My husband and brother have gone camping a few times and I'm sure they both wished they'd had something like this the last few times they went to help get wood for their camp fires.
Before I could even take pictures of this product, Ken had it outside with his friend and was sawing a tree limb in half to show off how easy it was to use. He's very happy and excited to have this new neat gadget.
Disclaimer: I was given this product for free or at a deep discount in exchange for an honest review.

How To Make A Beaded Necklace
Before you begin making a beaded necklace you need to know what some of the tools are called that you'll be using so you know what to buy in the craft store. Here is a small list of things you will be using and how to use them.
Jump Rings are small rings, that can be opened using 2 pairs of Needle Nose Pliers. How to add Jump Rings...Using two pairs of pliers, pull one side of the jump ring towards you and the other side away from you so that the jump ring opens up a little. Add the jump ring and close it using the same motion you did to open it. You will find the use of jump rings come in handy when making beaded jewelry.
Occasionally you will have to throw a jump ring away if it won't go back to it's original shape. Don't try to fix it, just toss it and move on to another one.
Beads: Beads come in so many different sizes, shapes and colors.
Glass beads are very versatile and make beautiful jewelry. They come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. I like using them the best for making necklaces.
Plastic beads are great for making jewelry for kids.
Metals beads come in a variety of sizes and colors.
Bugle Beads are long tubes that come in various colors.
Stone Beads come in Precious and Semiprecious stone varieties and are available in almost any shape and color imaginable.
Spacer Beads are any small beads that are used in the spacing of a design.
Beading thread is used for making jewelry. You can even get the thread to match the beads you are using.
Headpins look like small thin nails. Put a few beads on a head pin, bend a loop at the top and you can attach it to necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
Eyepins are just like headpins except instead of a head there is a loop. You can make them yourself out of wire, by cutting a length of wire and forming a small loop at the end. But if you want them straight and don't want the hassle of making them yourself, I say buy them.
Crimp beads are soft metal beads that are flattened onto soft-flex wire or stretch magic elastic cord to finish strands or keep a bead in place. String a crimp bead onto the elastic cord and flatten it with pliers.
Crimping Pliers are special pliers used just for squeezing the crimp beads. You can use regular needle nose pliers but using crimping pliers makes it look much neater.
For this project you will need:
4 headpins
48 " of colored ribbon, divided in half in the color of your choice
2 Jump rings
2 crimp beads
10" stretch magic elastic beading cord
20-30 small different shaped glass beads in the color of your choice
80-100 seed beads in the color of your choice
2 pairs of needle nose pliers
Crimping pliers
scissors
The first thing is to get all your supplies ready so you don't have to stop and go looking for them. Once you have done that you can start the project. Start by cutting 10" of the Magic Elastic beading cord, add a crimp bead to one end and one jump ring. Now slide the cord back through the crimp bead, making sure the jump ring is on the loop you just made, pull snugly, and then flatten the crimp bead with the crimping pliers. Trim the excess cord. You should now have a cord with a jump ring hanging from one end of it. Set aside for now.
Add beads to the headpins but don't over fill the headpins. When you like the design on the headpin take the pliers and make a loop at the top. To make the loop take your needle nose pliers in your dominant hand, hold the headpin and beads in your other hand while pushing the beads down towards the nail end of the headpin. Grasp the end of the headpin wire tightly with the pliers. Twist the wire in a circular motion until the end of the headpin forms a small loop that closes securely. Finish all four headpins and set them aside.
You are now ready to start stringing beads. It's easier to empty some of the seed beads onto a small plate or bowl when you are using them. Slide 20 seed beads onto the cord then add one of the larger beads and one of the bead filled headpins you just made then add one more larger bead so that the loop of the headpin is between the two larger beads. Then add 10 seed beads and 2 larger beads with the headpin between the two larger beads. Do this until you have three sets of 10 seed beads and 4 sets of the larger beads with the headpin between the two larger beads, then add 20 seed beads.
Add a crimp bead to the end of the cord, add a jump ring and slide the cord back through the crimp bead, just as you did on the other side of the cord, making sure the jump ring is at the end of the cord. Pull it snugly, but do not pull too hard, do not stretch the cord while pulling.
Now take one length of your ribbon and slide it through one of the jump rings until the ends are matching. Tie the ends together and do the same to the other side. Tie a knot in the ribbon about an inch from the jump rings on each side and you are done! Now just tie the necklace around your neck and show it off.
If you plan on making a lot of jewelry, getting a storage box to keep all of your different beads and fasteners in is a really good idea. This is a case that my sister in law sent to me. It's just one of the sets of beading materials that I have. The right side is a guide that you can lay the beads on to see how it will look when it's finished.

I Found A New Snack For My Rats
Ken was at the local CVS the other day and saw small sample size pouches of this new Krave cereal and thought I might like it because it has chocolate in it. While I didn't care for it, my rats sure did. Since they are so small *rat sized*, I decided to keep a pack around as a treat for my rats.
They have a cereal on the outside and a chocolate center. Rats love cereal and chocolate so since they are so small, it's actually a nice treat for them. Just remember they are treats, not something I would give every day. Just occasionally.
Scribbles liked it so much that I had to hold on to it just to get a picture because he'd take it and run off to hide while he ate it. lol *Don't worry that's not blood around his eye. It's something called porphyrin. He gets it around that one eye but he's fine*
Flower, being the lady she is, Sniffed it delicately, snatched it and ran back to her house to gobble it up. lol

Review: A League Of Her Own by Karen Rock
Book Description taken from Amazon:
He was attractive, talented…and way off limits.
Heather Gadway may have been a world-class college pitcher and a top university coach, but she's a rank amateur when it comes to managing the Falcons, her father's struggling minor league team. And when it comes to managing her aggravating attraction to Garrett Wolf, their talented new pitcher. It's going to be difficult enough to make it as the first female manager in the league and prove to her overly critical father she's worthy. No distractions. No missteps. And certainly no romances with players. Everything stands between them—including their troubled pasts—even as Heather's world falls apart and Garrett's the one who's there to catch her…
My Review:
I won this book in a blog contest and was looking forward to reading a new to me author. This is a great way to find authors in genres that I don't normally read and I'm so glad that I won and read this book.
Heather is trying to manage her father's baseball team and she just happens to be a really good pitcher herself, soo she knows a little something about the game. The team of guys aren't all that keen on having a female in charge of them but she finally shows them that she has something to contribute to the team and they start to come around.
Garrett doesn't really want to stay with the team anymore because it's struggling to win games and he doesn't see how staying with a losing team is going to help his career in the long run.
Both of these characters have trust issues for different reasons. So even though they are attracted to each other, they have a hard time trusting the other one enough to get close right away. These two characters had real flaws, real emotions and real world troubles which made their lives and this story very believable.
I found this book to be a mixture of romance, real world problems and flirty fun with a bit of baseball thrown in at the right times.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Rats 101: What is a Rattery
Many people are used to seeing rats for sale in pet stores and while a lot of people choose places like this to get their rats and other small animals from, I don't because you run the risk of getting an animal from a back yard breeder or mill type breeder that sells to pet shops. A rattery is usually run out of a persons home and simply put, is a room where a person breeds rats and raises them until they find suitable homes for the babies.
How To Find A Rattery
A lot of times a person will list their rattery or rat rescue site in rat forums. It's a good idea to join a few rat forums on places like Facebook and ask people who have already adopted rats from ratteries where they found them and how they liked them.
The North American Rat Registry also has a huge list of ratteries and a database with information on rat lines, siblings, ancestors as well as birth and death dates, which will give you a more complete look into a rats family history.
How To Select A Rattery
Some ratteries have a lot of rules about not touching any of the rats and the only way you can pick one is by seeing pictures of it. Some people won't even let you in their home when you come to pick up your rats. While I can understand the need to be careful so their rats don't pick up mites or other diseases from people who might carry things in on their clothing or hands, I will not adopt from a person who runs a rattery that won't let me interact with the rats and see where they are living.
Being so secretive makes me believe they have something to hide. They could be a backyard breeder that really has no idea how to raise healthy babies or they could have hundreds of babies in their rattery in bad living conditions. Unless they will let you see where the rats are living, you have no idea about their living conditions or how many baby rats they have.
A good rattery will let you see pictures of the babies so you get an idea of what they look like but will also let you interact with the rats so you get an idea of temperament and personality. I pick my rats for their personality and temperament. I like happy, excited to see me rats. Not shy, scared rats that try to run away from me when I try to pet them. You should be able to tell if the babies have been socialized, meaning they have been handled and played with and are not scared of human hands and try to run away from you.
If the person running the rattery you choose won't let you interact with the rats, see where they live or the rats act like they are unsocialized, you should turn right around and leave. They either have something to hide or because they are so cautious and paranoid you're not going to get a rat with the personality you might want because you weren't able to interact with any of them to find the perfect one for you.

Review: Petunia Skincare 1.0mm Derma Roller, Eye Serum and Anti-aging Serum
I've never used a Derma Roller before I was given this one to try out. So I read the directions really well and it said to roll over the affected area with steady pressure in all 4 directions for 10 times. Then apply the serum you want to absorb more quickly because using this product will help the serum you use absorb more quickly. So I followed the directions and found this derma roller to be a little harsh. It is not for someone with really sensitive skin and will leave you skin a little irritated and red. It's best to use this at night, apply the serum right before bed. The redness will be gone by morning. I used the serum with and without this derma roller and saw no real difference in how the serum worked.
I found the eye serum to be a nice light serum that didn't irritate my skin at all. While I didn't see any puffiness diminish in the week that I used it, I did feel smoother skin in the places that the eye serum was used. It says it helps with puffy eyes, dark circles and swollen eyes. I don't have any of those problems to begin with so I didn't see it work in that way. I will say that the description on Amazon says it is never tested on animals and cruelty free and I really loved that about this eye serum.
The anti aging serum was used on my forehead and around where I have fine lines around my eyes. I really don't have a lot of fine lines yet but there are a few on my forehead. In the week that I used this anti aging serum I did see the fine lines on my forehead seem to reduce or look less noticeable. This said that it was also good for uneven skin tone which I do have in places. But I didn't see any noticeable changes in that area after using this serum for a week.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Home Made Rat Toys
*Flower*
So you have a new rat and want to know what toys to get? Well some of the best rat toys are the ones that you make yourself.
Cardboard Tube Treat Holder
The easiest thing to make is this treat holder. All you need is a toilet paper tube, fold in one side and fill it with a few pieces of fruit, veggies, or any other treat your rat likes. Then fold the other side in and give it to your rat. They will have loads of fun trying to get to the treats inside the tube.
Paper Towel Box
Rats love to play under paper towels. If you put a few paper towels into a tissue box and cut a hole in the side so they can stick their heads out as well as get inside without jumping on top of it, they will jump around inside that box like they were kittens all the while playing 'chase the paper towel'. It is the cutest thing to watch and they will love it.
Fishing
I bet you didn't know that rats love to fish, did you? Well, neither did I until I had a coffee cup filled with ice and Pepsi and my rat, Dusty stuck his nose right down in the cup and pulled out an ice cube and ran away with it.
He looked very happy and came back a few seconds later to fish another ice cube out of my cup. So I tried other things in a cup of water. I put strawberries in a cup of water and he stuck his nose right in and pulled them out as well.
Try putting different veggies or pieces of fruit your rat likes into a bowl of water. They will stick their entire face down into that water to grab the treat, only to come back for more.
Paper Bag
Believe it or not, a simple paper bag will give you and your rat hours of play time. Rats love to hide and get into and under things. That coupled with the noises the paper bag will make as they walk into it, will make them want to jump on it, drag it around and tear it into shreds. Even if your rat doesn't chew it to death, you should use a new bag the next time you play as most rats will have urinated in the bag while playing.
Veggie Shish-ka-bobs
Rats love vegetables and will eat just about anything you give to them. An easy thing to make for them is this shish-ka-bob, made from vegetables. Take a head of fresh broccoli and cut off the large hard stems from the middle. Cut the hard outer peel from the stem, then cut into square strips and add small pieces of other vegetables to the stick of broccoli. You may need to cut small holes into the vegetables before adding them to the broccoli stick. Give it to your rat and watch him happily eat it. Make sure to remove any remaining fresh food from your rat's cage at the end of the day so it doesn't spoil.
So there you have several easy and cheap ideas for rat toys. Rats love to have new and exciting things in their life and it will also keep them happy and a happy rat is a healthy rat.
Don't be upset if your little ratty doesn't like all the toys you buy or make for them. Rats can be picky and love the simplest things. Make sure to give them plenty of time outside the cage with you and plenty of time playing. Have fun with your little pet.

Review: Auto Glass Breaker and Seat Belt Cutter
I don't have a car right now but hubby does ride in them and I thought that having a 5 in 1 tool like this one would be great to have around no just for emergencies in a car but for emergencies at home. This auto glass breaker and seat belt cutter also has a flashlight and emergency beacon so rescuers can find you if they see it and are trying to find you.
I have an emergency kit at home and like finding new things to add to it. The power went out in my neighborhood several times last year and having flashlights and other emergency products in my kit makes me feel prepared in case of a more dangerous emergency like an earthquake.
This is a great tool to have and it came with 2 emergency mylar blankets which can help keep you from suffering hypothermia in the cold.
We popped in some batteries to check it out and everything works on it. Ken even used the seat belt cutter to cut some old fabric in half to see how sharp it was and it's pretty darn sharp. This is a great product to keep in an emergency kit or your car.

This is the first window breaker tool that I've ever owned and my husband was thrilled that it also had a seat belt cutter along with it. Both of those things are must haves for anyone who owns a car because you just never know when you're going to need them.
